Very cozy, old world Florida feel. Service is attentive and friendly, and the food amazing! Plan to be there for sunset. They've got multiple Adirondack chairs out on their dock.

Food great! Lunch black beans with rice was truly in a positive league of its own, they need to offer it in the evening also. I had prime new york stip, my wife had prime fillet, we also had desert bill with tip $200, but excellent. From my perspective the restaurant is out of the way recommend using a GSP to find it the first time, it is really ouit of the way on the northwest side of Pine Island.

Excellent meal at the restaurant with creative options and excellent wine choices. Service was exquisite, casual atmosphere yet refined, will return again. Petite filet mignon was flavorful and cooked to order, and the catch of the day was exceptionally flavorful.

Giving four stars only because the room was a bit smaller than expected, but everything else was perfect. The room had a big, comfy bed, a balcony big enough for two people to sit on, and a nice view of the water. Everything felt clean and is probably fairly new or renovated. The property is lovely, with a great grassy area and a beautiful dock where you can sit and watch boats come in and the sun slowly set. Everyone who worked there was quite friendly and was happy to chat us up and share local knowledge. The restaurant had good food and a nice ambiance. I found this place by pure luck and am happy I stumbled upon it. Loved staying on the island, and loved the location.

Tarpon Lodge delivers a classic Old Florida experience with charm, scenery, and consistently excellent food. From the moment you arrive, the setting feels special right on the water, surrounded by palm trees, docks, and some of the best sunset views on Pine Island. It’s quiet, romantic, and ideal for anniversaries, celebrations, or a relaxed getaway. The restaurant is the true standout. Guests regularly rave about the freshness of the seafood, perfectly cooked steaks, creative specials, and strong wine and cocktail program. Dishes like the catch of the day, filet mignon, lobster, and even simple sides (like black beans and rice) are memorable and thoughtfully prepared. Service in the restaurant is frequently described as warm, professional, and attentive, with staff and management going out of their way to make special occasions feel truly special. The lodge itself is cozy and well maintained, offering a charming, historic feel rather than modern luxury. Rooms are clean and comfortable with very comfy beds, and waterfront or balcony views elevate the stay. That said, some rooms are smaller than expected, which may surprise guests used to larger resort-style accommodations. This is more of a boutique, historic inn than a full-scale hotel. Boaters especially love Tarpon Lodge thanks to easy docking, boat slips, and direct access to fishing and nearby islands, making it a unique destination for those arriving by water. Staff kindness stands out across reviews, with many guests noting how helpful and genuinely caring the team is whether assisting with boats, special requests, or even unexpected situations. Why not 5 stars? A few guests mention pricing on the higher side, occasional service delays during busy times, or minor billing transparency issues related to docking fees. While these don’t define the overall experience, they do prevent it from being perfect across the board. Bottom line: Tarpon Lodge is a beautiful, peaceful destination with outstanding food, excellent service, and unforgettable views. If you appreciate Old Florida charm, waterfront dining, and a relaxed, upscale atmosphere and don’t mind slightly smaller rooms, it’s absolutely worth the visit and easy to recommend.

My husband and I stay at Tarpon Lodge every year. It's very relaxing and the place it so charming. We bring our boat and park it in the back on the docks. The marina to drop the boat in the water is right next door. There are so many islands to explore in the area. Honestly it doesn't get much better than this.

We came for the sunset per a Google search. Grabbed a drink at the bar first, stayed for dinner. Debbie at the bar made us feel right at home as we are from out of town. Her white sangria was delicious. The food was incredible. The house crab chowder, warm toasted bread, fish bites to start were amazing. I had the scallop special and my dad had the shrimp and grits. Everything was amazing. You can rent a place to stay also. Highly recommend
